Sewing

Just wanted to post a few pictures of the last few things I've been sewing. (Solamente quiero poner un par de fotos de las últimas cosas que he costurado).

The top is Simplicity 2931 and the skirt is McCall 5817. The skirt was made straight out of the pattern. The top originally is meant to be very loose so I took in the sides and added back darts. (La camisa es Simplicity 2931 y la falda McCall 5817. La falda la hice justo como indica el patrón. La camisa originalmente debe ser bien floja, so le costuré más de los lados y agregué un par de pinzas en la parte de atrás).

And this is my new favorite dress. It's Simplicity 3678 and it is made out of matte jersey, which means no ironing! I also altered the pattern, I took in the sides, eliminated the gathers in the back and adjusted the gathers in the front, so I wouldn't look pregnant. I already had a lovely jersey print for another version but I lost the pattern pieces. I tried to buy it again at Joann yesterday since they had a sale, but it was sold out..... Very frustrating. (Este es mi vestido favorito. Es simplicity 3678 y está hecho de un jersey opaco, lo que significa que no tengo que plancharlo. También alteré este patrón, costuré los lados un poco más, eliminé el fruncido en la parte de atrás y ajusté el fruncido en la parte del frente, asi no me veo embarazada. Ya tenia una tela con diseño para otra versión de este mismo vestido, pero perdi las piezas del patrón. Traté de comprarlo de nuevo en Joann ayer, porque tenian ofertas pero se les habian acabado.... Muy frustrante....)
